Welcome to Piglets Pre-School

 

Piglets Pre-School first opened its doors in 1991 and has proudly served the local community ever since. We have always been a small, nurturing setting with strong family values at our heart. The nursery has been owned and led by Sarah Bettinson from the very beginning, and Sarah is present every day, working closely alongside her dedicated team to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

 

Our staff are our greatest strength. We have a long standing dedicated Deputy Manager and many members of the team have been with us for a number of years, providing children with consistency, familiarity, and genuine care, while new practitioners have joined us as the nursery has grown. We are also fortunate to have a full-time SENCo, who is a valued asset to our setting, ensuring that every child’s individual needs are understood and supported. Piglets is very much a family-run nursery, with Sarah’s daughter, daughter-in-law, and other family members playing an important role within the team.

 

We are extremely proud of our high standards and the quality of care and education we provide. Piglets Pre-School has achieved three consecutive Outstanding Ofsted grades, with our most recent inspection in 2019. Recently, we have transitioned to becoming a limited company; however, we remain the same dedicated people, with the same ethos, values, and commitment to children and families. As a result of this change, we are currently awaiting our next Ofsted inspection.
